This has been my day:

Midnight: finished helping my flatmate with her inordinate amount of packing

2am: Glee

3am-8am: sleep

9:30: Exam!

11am: Exam over!

1:30: walked to the park, walked around the lake

2:45: consider falling asleep in the park rose garden in the sun

3:00: decide against this in case of a) ants b) theft and c) sunburn. Walk into town instead.

4:00: went shopping in celebration of having finished first year of uni, remembered how I don’t like shopping but found a nice yellow/blue dress for seven pounds (huzzah!) and took a step closer to finishing my John Green collection with An Abundance of Katherines (hurrah huzzah!)

5:20: feet are a bit achey but decide to walk back instead of taking the bus

5:50: curse this decision but power through regardless

6:00: feet say they want nothing more to do with me, but I drag them onto campus and to tea anyway

rest of evening: no more walking (huzzah times three)

1. Wait for the sun to come out. Yes, I know there’s an icy wind toppling garden furniture all around you, but it doesn’t matter.

2. Go inside. Close all the windows to keep out the evil icewind.

3. Locate square of sunlight from window. (This may be on a sofa, bed, or piece of floor.)

4. Lie in it. (Even if it is on the floor. You must take what you can get.)
